Pool Recruitment Vacancy – Community Services Organisation

We are creating a recruitment pool for future permanent, fixed-term, casual, or temporary roles in our not-for-profit community services organisation.

Applicants should have suitable skills and values for various community services positions, including management, administration, funding support, HR, case management, social work, counselling, family violence support, community programs, and early intervention.

We offer professional development and ongoing learning to help successful candidates build their skills and confidence.

About the Pool

Pool recruitment means that a number of applicants may be assessed as suitable to be considered for future permanent, fixed-term, casual or temporary vacancies that are similar to the roles advertised.

Being appointed to the pool does not guarantee employment. Suitable applicants may be offered a position if and when a suitable vacancy arises.

The pool will generally operate for a period of 12 months from the date applicants are first placed into the pool, unless otherwise stated in the advertisement. Once the pool expires, applicants who have not been appointed to a position may need to re-apply for future vacancies.

All applicants will be advised of the outcome of their application at the conclusion of the recruitment process.

Appointment from the pool is not automatic and will depend on organisational needs, available funding, role requirements, suitability, availability and satisfactory completion of any required checks.

Depending on the role, duties may include work across:

• Management, supervision and service coordination

• Administration, records management and office support

• Human resources, recruitment and workforce administration

• Funding, grants, reporting and partnership development

• Case management, client assessment, referrals and advocacy

• Social work, crisis response and client-centred support

• Alcohol and other drug counselling and referral support

• Family and domestic violence scoping, safety planning and referral pathways

• Prevention, early intervention and community education

All roles require confidentiality, professional boundaries, accurate record keeping, safe work practices, and participation in supervision, training and professional development.

We Are Looking For Applicants Who Demonstrate:

• Empathy, professionalism and respect

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• A client-centred, culturally safe and trauma-informed approach

• Ability to remain calm in stressful or crisis situations

• Good judgement, initiative and problem-solving skills

• Awareness of boundaries, confidentiality, safety and self-care

• Relevant qualifications, skills or experience for the area of work

Experience in community services, management, administration, human resources, grants, case management, social work, AOD counselling, family and domestic violence support, crisis response, prevention or related areas will be highly regarded.
